Sunflower Cafe in Fort Myers Beach

I've eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. I enjoy the food and the staff are terrific. They have such a friendly attitude and welcome you like family. They are quick with their service and I enjoy that the girls come by often to freshen your coffee😊

The food is outstanding also the care from the staff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We went for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the huge selection, laid back atmosphere, and friendly service. We had the country omelette, biscuits and gravy, bowl of fruit, and short stacks of pancakes. We really enjoyed our breakfast and would definitely recommend going here to enjoy a nice country-style breakfast!

Very extensive menu, reminds me of the old fashioned diners... they have every kind of food you could want. Great service and good prices.

Over rated, they use frozen fruit for their expensive crepes. I just find it too expensive for what you are getting. Several other places in the area do a better job for breakfast.

I had an AMAZING experience, the waitress was an absolute sweetheart who was so friendly my gf and I were certain to leave an extra tip. She checked on us regularly without being overbearing and was all around so?? Kind?? I was super suprised. Though I didn't interact with many of the other servers the lady at the front desk was just as sweet!! Not only was the vibe absolute perfection but! Everything was so clean!! The place had zero stains or smudges and smelled just like flowers! Anywho, absolutely recommend to anyone looking to just vibe for an hour or two!

Truly enjoyed my breakfast/brunch stops to this little restaurant. It's more diner/cafe than it is polished restaurant (at least during the morning/lunch hours when I've been there) so know what you're in for. With that, the food has always been tasty and it's a great value when you look at prices. I tend to have good luck with restaurants with Greek owners, and because of that, I had the Greek Skillet on my last visit, and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great breakfast, we ordered typical 2 egg breakfast, order was fresh, hot and delivered to the table within 3 minutes of ordering, How do that do that???? Amazing!

Their food is amazing we ate breakfast we could have shared it. Dinner was amazing too had to have a doggie bag.

Sunflower Cafe has the best breakfast in Ft Myers!! Every year we go to Ft. Myers Beach, and every morning that we're there we eat at the Sunflower!! It's always packed, but don't let the parking lot fool you. This place is exceptionally fast! I don't think we've ever had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table.

Over the years we have eaten and the Sunflower Cafe many times. We used to stay quite close and it was an easy choice and a favorite of those around us. The place has not changed and that is good. They have American, seafood and Greek choices. the service is always good. With many of their dinners you get a small dessert, rice pudding, Jello or ice cream, which is just right. This last visit was for lunch, but we both ended up with dinner. My wife had the Greek Pefection, a garlicy chicken dish, which she found very good. I went with the crunchy grouper plate, a favorite that is often on the specials board. With a salad and rice pudding, we were both happy.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from Fort Myers Beach. We had a group of nine, but were still seated right away. The hostess and our server were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very fairly priced and delicious. I often find myself giving higher ratings not because of a "better" or more expensive restaurant, but for the entire dining experience including the hit on my wallet. This restaurant offered an inexpensive meal served by a wonderful staff.

The service was above average with a waitress asking you about every four minutes if you needed anything and if everything was okay.I had the country omelette and my granddaughter had a skillet of some type.We both thought our meals were good but if you are shopping for a low price meal, this may not be it. My coffee and meal plus my granddaughter's milk plus meal were over $23.But if you're on vacation, what the heck.

The service was very friendly and the food was great and came out so fast. Will definitely be back!

I have ate here a few times but have been getting to-go orders from here for years. The food has always been great. The service is great. The everyday menu is good and the specials are always worth a try!

I love how friendly the owner and staff. My cousin and I were this morning. She went it first to get a table. Then when i went in, the owner said are you looking for your cousin. I said yes. She stated that i will take you to her. We are best friends already. The owner so adorable and wonderful. Our server was amazing She checked in on us at the appropriate amount of time. The mimosas were delicious. The food was excellent. I recommend to definitely visit if you come to Ft Myers Beach

Love the food here! Soups are ALWAYS on point. Service wonderful! Owned by super cool Greek couple relocated from Chicago. Deserts yummy and a must! Breakfast served all day. Only thing I would change are the hours of operation. Only open until 3pm. Otherwise....love it!

Great New year's lunch. We have been coming here for 13 years and it just never changes. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We like the full menu and can eat breakfast any time of day. Today we got the steak and it was wonderful. The portion size is perfect and we find it hard to order their outstanding pie or cake. My dad got the pancakes. So glad each winter we know that there is a place to get a great meal.

A lot of locals go there. That should tell you something! It has all the standard breakfast fare, including skilled dishes, crepes, and a specials board. Lunch is equally good quality, hamburgers to salads and comfort food like meatloaf.. the service is so lightning fast, it's as though they have a mind reader in the kitchen.

By far my new favorite place in Ft Myers!! I had the BEST experience I have ever had tonight in any restaurant! From entering the new restaurant we were greeted as if we were family. We were served by Janet, Super friendly, attentive, fun and about the most professional waitress I have ever had. She made our visit to Sunflower a very memorable time!! No waiting forever for her to come to the table like most places we have eaten here. She is spot on !! She recommended the Open Faced Reuben Sandwich. OH MY GOD to die for!! I also had Creamy Chicken Soup which was fantastic. So much food I had to take half of it with me!!! My husband and I were so impressed not only by the quantity of the food, but the quality. SO DELICIOUS!! I wish I could give ten stars!!! Need to get your sign up out on San Carlos Blvd. We almost drove past it thinking it was Perkins. Glad I saw the sign on the grass! Will recommend Sunflower Cafe to everyone we know!!

Excellent food, good prices, and VERY good staff and time of receiving food.

We visited twice this past weekend. Saturday for breakfast and Sunday for a late lunch/early dinner. Saturday’s breakfast consisted of omelettes for the adults and pancakes and bacon for our daughter. Everything tasted great, and the bacon was perfectly cooked. We also tried the stuffed crepes—amazing! Sunday’s late lunch were sandwiches for 2 of us and the pork special for one, fried calamari appetizer to share. Again, everything was fantastic. Our waitresses, Mackie and Karen, are the sweetest and made both experiences great! And if you’re up for a real treat, I have two words for you: Baklava Cheesecake!

A literal explosion of ants on our 8 year old's food due to their discovery of the jam packets from the window. The pancakes she couldn't eat were taken off the check, but literally nothing else including the blueberries on said pancakes. I understand pests happen, but the response was an example of horrible customer service.

We used to go here all the time when it was Perkins, but I am happy to report that this place is a great replacement! The food came out how we ordered for the most part. The cheese was left off one of our omelets but the waitress took it back and had it fixed very quickly. The pancakes are light and fluffy and you can get them with a side of gyro meat for a slight upcharge. Totally worth it as the gyro meat is delicious! Also, good coffee.
